Some of you might have friends over for dinner or a party, but at our house you can bet our little ones would walk up to you with a book.  It's always special to read with someone new.  We're very grateful that so many friends took the time to share stories with our kids.

Daddy works nights, so it's very special for him to read bedtime stories.

In the same nursery with each kid.  Until they went to kindergarten I read with them for about a half hour a day, and then at bedtime.  Of course they had their favorites, but I always liked finding new titles at the library.

When our oldest learned to read he would occasionally take over the bedtime routine for the little brother.  Great bonding and one proud Momma!

We only had bunk beds for one summer, but it was great for reading to both kids at the same time.

 Somehow he always managed to show up at bedtime....

Each of us learns to read from the previous generation of readers.  Think of someone in your life who made reading a fun memorable activity.  Are you this person for someone else?  Pass on the passion!
